    Default Email Error: SMTP Error: Data not accepted.

    I've searched and googled but not found an answer to this.

    I wrote up a newsletter to inform customers that I have a sale set up in my store. All well and good.
    I hit send...
    I got maybe a dozen green check marks on screen then

    Email Error: SMTP Error: Data not accepted.

    and it seems to have hung there.
    Under the tools -> newletters tab it shows a red "X" next to the newsletter to indcicate "not sent", however, I know some must have recieved it as I did on my alternate email address.

    I don't want to "keep trying" and annoy my customers by announcing the sale to them over and again.

    That's a result of the email being rejected by the mailserver as it was leaving Zen Cart. So, something's not acceptable about the particular message you were sending. Presumably it's something wrong with the recipient's name or email address, since you said it sent "some" messages before failing.

    You can tell it to ignore the errors by going to Admin->Configuration->Email Options->Email Friendly Errors, and set it to true. If it's set to false, the error will be displayed and all further processing halted. When set to true, it ignores the errors and tells nobody that the error even happened, and continues on with processing.
