Default multiple tax rates for products?

I have searched and searched the forums but can't find an answer....

I need to be able to charge FL sales tax for one FL based vendor's products to all FL customers. I have done this and it's working fine. But, now I need to also charge WV sales tax for all of our products sold to customers in WV including the products from the FL vendor.

So, if a FL customer buys a product from FL vendor, they get charged FL tax, if a WV customer buys the same product they get charged the WV tax. If Fl customer buys any other products they are not taxed, if a WV customer buys any other products they are taxed.

I have created a new tax class to assign to all products for WV purchases in addition to the existing tax class created for those products that come from the FL vendor. But I can't figure out how I can add both classes to each product.

How can I set up 2 different tax classes for one product, the products from the FL vendor? Or is there another way that I am missing?

Ummm, this is a little more complicated than a standard tax set-up, so my specifics may be a little off, but I would do something like:

Set-up a tax class, similar to Taxable Goods. Call this FL Taxable Goods.

Set-up a tax class called WV Taxable Goods.

Then setup your 2 ZONES - WV and FL

Next set-up your tax rates. You will need to set-up 2 for WV Zone. Each will have the same tax rate, and be called the same thing, but one will be for the FL Taxable Goods, and the other for the WV taxable goods.

So you should end up with 2 different tax CLASSES, 2 different ZONES, and 3 different TAX RATES.

Hope this at least points you in the right direction.
