    OK, got it.
    I was missing the deletion of admin -> includes -> boxes -> extra_boxes -> googlesitemap_tools_dhtml.php.

    Stupid question I'm sure, but are there any security concerns around leaving the sitemap*.xml files with 777 permissions? Or should/can they be set back to 644 as long as one is running the tool asynchronously?

    Using Ver 1.3.8a

    My only real questions is could someone post just a bit more concise and detailed set of instructions on how to install this addon. Being a novice user of Zencart, I think the installation instructions make some assumptions about what I know and what should be done to do an install.

    Thanks

    Old version is right below new version, it's ZC team policy to publish this way, precisely to prevent these issues.

    It's just a question of putting the files in the right location and running the install.sql by copying and pasting in the Install SQL patches under Tools in Admin, and clicking Send.
    Some files go in the root of the store, all those with extension .xml in the root folder of the mod, I'm not sure about googlesitemap.php.txt, I put this one there, just in case.
    Then you just follow the folder structure, the ones in template_default you can put in your custom template.
    You can leave out languages you don't use.
    Once all files are in correct location, just run install.sql.

    Where would I add this in the SitemapXML module so that the script would run until it is done?
    set_time_limit(0);
    It is timing out and I don't want to change my "max_execution_time" any higher than what it is set to.

    You can see this in header_php.php (lines 92-94):
    Code:
    if (!get_cfg_var('safe_mode') && function_exists('set_time_limit')) {
      set_time_limit(0);
    }

    help question Re: SitemapXML v.2

    Andrew, thank you very much for this incredible contribution.

    I would appreciate answering a few questions that will help me better understand this add-on.

    Does SitemapXML v.2 replace the entire Site Map facility as comes prepackaged in the existing Zen Cart ver. 1.3.8a? Or does SitemapXML v.2 co-exists with it?

    In particular:
    1. Does SitemapXML v.2 automatically update the site map page that is accessible via the Information sidebox (index.php?main_page=site_map) ?
    2. That is, is this for submission to search engines only? Or does it have visual output just like the existing Site Map function in Zen Cart?
    3. Does SitemapXML v.2 support turning off selectively certain pages from sitemap? That is, in the existing sitemap function in Zen Cart, one goes to 'Configuration > Define Page Status' and can hide, via the admin console, certain pages from the search engine. Is this the case with SitemapXML v.2?
