Hiding Out of Stock Items in Admin Catalog

Hello, I am looking to hide products in my Admin catalog when the item is sold out.

It is already working properly that it does not show up in my store when the item is sold out, but it would be nice if there was a way to toggle hiding and showing the sold out items in the admin side.

I would like to keep them in my catalog just in case I get more of that item in stock again, however, as more and more things sell out, it is getting cumbersome looking through what all is available. I know I can sort by what is in stock / alphabetical, but thought I would ask if there is just a way to hide and then show the items again at a later time.

You could customize the SELECT statements in:
/admin/includes/modules/category_product_listing.php

for the $products_query_raw to not include Products where products_quantity <= 0 or where products_status = 0 ... depending on how you have these products marked ...

You would really need to be more specific on what you need as this is a very old question referring to both the Admin and Catalog and there are a lot of things involved that differ between the two ...

Based on this thread question....

How would we hide all the "sold out" products in admin.
Our product lists contain large blocks of unique items that may never be back in stock.
It would be convenient to have these hidden so they do not appear on lists like when trying to select products (for example) for "specials".
When looking at the list of products to select for a special there are all the out of stock products in the list making it cumbersome to select available products.
So it would be nice if they could be made inactive but not deleted permanently.

If the "sold out" products are deleted how would that effect reports like "sales"?
