Show "Sold Out" after the sale

Hi all...

this is my first post. My cart is up and running and all seems well.

I have a different requirement though. The products are unique mand made stuff, so there's only one piece of a kind.

After a sale happens, the product is in active and doesn't show in the product listing.

Instead, I want the product to show in the listings as "Sold" or "Sold out" - or even out of stock is ok.
I've been looking through the config, but couldn't fine anything.

It needs to go live today, pl. help.

When creating the product page (admin-> Catalog-> Categories/Products set Products Quantity to 1. That means you only have 1 to sell. When it sells, the Out of Stock image should appear in both product listings and product info pages.

You can change the default Sold Out image for a custom image of your own by replacing the image file at catalog/includes/templates/[your template name]/buttons/english/button_sold_out.gif
If you do not have a custom template then the image is located at:
catalog/includes/templates/template_default/buttons/english/button_sold_out_.gif

Be sure to set "Show Sold Out Image in place of Add to Cart" to 1.
