    Default Won't continue to Step 2 (Choose Payment Method)

    Hello,

    During checkout, when the Continue Checkout button is clicked for the customer to Choose their Payment Method, the process does not proceed to the Choose Payment Method page.
    The status at the bottom left of IE browser shows the following sequence
    • Connecting to yourshop.com
    • Waiting for yourshop.com
    • Transferring data from yourshop.com
    • Done

    but the page remains stuck on the Step 1 - Delivery information page.

    I have Paypal Website Payments standard enabled as the payment module
    I have uploaded again all the files under
    includes/templates/template_default/templates but that has not fixed the problem.
    Any pointers to where I should start looking for the problem would be appreciated

    What shipping methods?

    Your question about what shipping methods I'm using prompted me to have a look at that for an answer.

    I have cloned the ZIPSHIP module so that I have ZIPSHIP and ZIPSHIP_EAST as 2 different shipping methods, and is only the ZIPSHIP_EAST (the cloned one) that is causing the problems. I'll look further into the changes I made when I cloned that module for the trouble.

    I should have looked at that in the first place

    Your clone appears to be using:
    zipship_east.php
    ZIPSHIP_EAST
    zipship_east

    try using instead:
    zipshipeast.php
    ZIPSHIPEAST
    zipshipeast

    and see if it doesn't work better ...

    Thanks for the update that the naming of the file and using the variables and constants with the underscore was causing the issue and just removing it fixed the problem ...

    I'm having a similar problem with my shop. Instead of progressing to step two I get a blank page and the url remains https://superiorsignsandbanners.com/...ckout_shipping

    There is obviously something misconfigured in my shipping module but I've been going through the manual and this forum trouble shooting for 3 days and can't figure out what. My zones appear to be configured correctly and I get the same result if I turn off all shipping options except pick up at store. I don't have any items shipping free, everything is calculated by weight. I have the UPS and store pickup options enabled. I've also tried using the original default template to see if it was possibly a template issue and I get the same result.

    I'd appreciate any thoughts you guys may have on this.

    To help debug the blank page, get the Debug Tool from the Free Software Add Ons ...

    I downloaded that and the only error message showing up in my log is File does not exist: superiorsignsandbanners.com/404.shtml
    File does not exist: superiorsignsandbanners.com/favicon.ico

    It's possible I'm not using it correctly however.
