Change Template

First off, I just started zencart and I love it! I was curious to know if I can use a template that is not made for zencart for my zencart page , I have a site that is informational as well as the store site and would like to have the same template through out. If I cant change the zencart template, can I use it in my main site? Its based on HTML, not php. Thanks!
