Different shipping price for each product, and flat rate for groups of products

K, that title may be very confusing. But it's hard to explain what I'm trying to do here in a few words.

ZC 1.3.8, heavily customized (no shipping modules tho)

My client wants to do shipping per product, but not per individual product, it's by grouping of product. It's actually quite complicated I think. SO here's his shipping table:

Product #1
1-10 units - $9.75 shipping
11-20 units - $16.75
21+ units - $28.50

Product #2
1-5 units - $11.50
6-10 units - $17.50
11+ units - $29.50

Product #3
1-5 units - $11.50
6-10 units - $17.50

Product #4
15-20 units - $16.75
21+ units - $28.50

Product #5
$9.75 each unit

Product #6
$6.50 each unit, but free if purchased with product 1


Is this even possible? And how? Thanks!!!

I am assuming all of your products have these variable quantities and rates on a per product basis ...

You would be better off building a products_shipping table with those units and rates that can be used to build your shipping costs ...

There isn't anything built into Zen Cart for this, but it could be done ...
