    Default Change Page Focus/Start Point

Here is the issue I am having, maybe it's just something I have to live with.

A customer wanted me to change the header on her store, which I did. But the image is so large it takes up most of the screen so you don't see products when you enter "the store". For me this is a problem, I mean as a seller you want products listed...right?

But the bigger issue is that it's annoying every time you enter a new product page it starts at the top, so you have to scroll down every time. Is it possible to set a focus point on the image or description, somewhere other than top left corner of every page? It's frustrating trying to check out because you have to keep scrolling down.

    Her store is http://badgirlskits.com/store

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated as always.

    Mike

Yow. Better you should convince the client she's wasting a lot of prime screen real estate with that (admittedly cool) image.

I'd guess you could set anchor points (HTML) on the various pages, but they're notoriously browser-specific, so ...

Already tried that, no dice. I am trying to help her but apparently she loves the logo so much she won't listen to me. I have only read some information from thousands of focus groups on what people see first, etc...what do I know ;)

Just thought I'd see if there was something I was missing.

As much as I hate to suggest it, maybe you could convince her to put that image on an index.html 'jump' page, linked to the cart main page, and a much smaller version in the cart header.

    A picture is worth a 1000 words.

Of course only would be on main page. And as stevesh said a smaller version for the rest of the site.

Or you could load it as the background image for the whole site?
