Hi...
no i just installed it 30 mins ago...
Kim told me to look at the wiki, and came across a link to it
http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=198
it gets around the problem in sorts, i can now read what was sent via the 'contact us' page. But i am still no further forward in having these messages delivered to an email address... and its still messing with my head!
what does that suggest to you?... a problem with passing the mesage to email?
i have tried 4 diff email addresses, personal and work.. but nothing
schoolboy.. i just want to thank you for all the help you have given me this afternoon!.. its meant a lot and i hope i can one day repay the favour!
i am close to giving up on the messages to inbox tho
I emailed you the zip of the 1.3.8a software.
Unzip it into a NEW directory...
Use WINMERGE to compare the files in that copy, with the files in the ORIGINAL set you unzipped.
WINMERGE is a file comparison tool (freeware - google winmerge, download it and add it to your program files on your local machine).
Winmerge is the quickest way to see if the files from your original copy of 1.3.8a are different from the files of the copy I emailed you.
"Different" does not necessarily mean "faulty" - you will have to use your own discretion whether files flagged as different, are in fact faulty.
If you see differences flagged for files that relate to email management, then the probable cause of your problem may be apparrent.
What you may like to try is to create a TEST store in a sub-directory, using the NEW zc software I sent you. If this works, then you can be sure your original installation has a couple of duffy files in it.

thank you..
i'll get straight on it after a few hours break.. or i will break this machine ;)
will keep you posted
Schoolboy... just thought you would like to know that the files were ok... turned out to be a hosting problem...
budget hosting.... cant beat it... i have sacked them off and moved to a VPS with full access... reinstalled and it works fine
I cant thank you enough for your efforts tho! most appreciated!
Cheers
Good to see you got it sorted.
Zencart out of the box will work... if you host with a service that knows what they are doing!
"Cheap" hosting is almost always more expensive in the long run!
