Default Could use help with html code for images in EZ_Pages

    HI-
Hoping for some help from any html guru's! I created some html code to view an image and listing information within an EZ-Page- works fine with my "localhost" site (see attached image) off of my PC -here is the Code:

    Code:
    <left><a href="http://www.segd.org" target="_blank"><img src="http://localhost/test/images/EZ_Pages_links_logos/SEGD.gif" width="175" height="100" alt="SEGD Logo"></a></left><br /><br />
    <a href="http://www.segd.org" target="_blank">SEGD | Society for Environmental Graphic Design</a></div>
<div id="paraB">SEGD is the global community for people who work at the intersection of communication design and the built environment.<br /><br />
But when I take it to my host site the image does not view- just the alt tag. Obviously it has to do with the path which I changed to:

    Code:
    img src="http://www.egresource.com/test/images/EZ_Pages_links_logos/SEGD.gif"
I have tried quite a few options with no success. Let me know if you have any ideas- I would assume it is simple- I just don't know what the correct path should be.

    Thanks-

Your <img src> tag must reference the path properly. That is, the path to where th image resides.

All the while your in dev mode on a local machine, the path will refer to a folder i your hard drive, and the html will compose that bit of script.

Now you take you site live. The html for the ezpage goes with it - and still references the c:drive path - which is a nonsense on a web server.

So... decide where you want to put your images. Then make sure the path leads to them...

... and of course... did yo remember to FTP the actual image file to that location... ? (And did you FTP in the correct mode - binary - and is the filenameon the server exactly the same as that in the path... ?

    Everything must match up...

Thanks for the reminders- I had everything right except I had some problems in the path with U/L case. Once I corrected that obviously everything worked as planned.

    Thanks again.
