categories.php 302 redirects

I have a curious problem when trying to update the meta tags.

I can reach admin/categories.php without problem, and produce the meta tags edit page fine.

When clicking save, the POST page of .../admin/categories.php?action=update_category_meta_tags&cPath= 302's, then redirects to admin/index.php.

Editing a category in general, using the same page works fine - the issue seems only with meta tags.

I am on latest Zen Cart 13.8.a without any mods installed whatsoever.

Ok, I have pored over everything I can think of to explain why this is occuring but I keep coming up blank.

Nothing in the htaccess etc, and nothing obvious in the code either. I do not see what it special about the update_category_meta_tags action?

The cPath variable in the form action URL is empty - could that have anything to do with it?

Okay, without a solution to this, is there any danger in going into the database and modifying this manually? Is it just one table or are there any lookup table dependencies?

If you recently loaded the security patch for v1.3.8 ... could you redownload it fresh and go through installing it again ...

This thread lists all of the Patches for v1.3.x ...

Also, do you have any add-ons in the Admin that might be causing the problem?

I am fully up-to-date patch wise so will retry them all.

I have no add-ons whatsoever on the Admin, or the whole install really.

Belated follow-up to this, but applying the latest security patch again seemed to do the trick. Seems I did not apply the new html_output.php.

Thanks for the update that while reinstalling the Patch you saw that the html_output.php file was incorrect ... that is usually the most common error on installing patches in that a file is installed incorrectly or missed ... hate when that happens ...
