Default CURL issue on localhost install

    Hi

i'm trying to install zencart onto my pc and i get an error relating to curl and ssl. (sorry dont have exact error)

Can i just ignore this error?

I know i'll need to make sure this is sorted when i go live but will it interfere with my setup on localhost?

i've searched the forum and i'm working form the zen book but with the latest version of zencart rather than the one in the book.

Let me know if i need to post exact error

    thanks

Did you set SSL to on as part of your local install. If so you'll probably need to set it to off as it's unlikely that you'll have SSL on a local machine.

Otherwise you can probably ignore the warning/error, but worry if you get it when installing on your final destination.

    Hi

Sorry to dig up very old thread, but am having same problem.

I'm using WAMP, and haven't set SSL yet (it's not an option yet in the installation process). I'm installing Zencart 1.3.9 locally on my own compter

The exact message I'm getting is

"CURL not compiled into PHP - notify server administrator"

    Can anyone help?

    thanks

    1. You can ignore that message and continue with setup, because you wouldn't need to use cURL on a local install anyway. But if you want to then ....

    2. cURL woudl be an additional feature/package which you would have to download and install (presumably from the same site you got WAMP from).
