duplicate admin folder has appeared

Hi,

I have set up a ZC 1.3.8a and applied all of the security patches as advised by DrByte (bless him). I have renamed my admin directory as advised and everything seems to be operating as it should but there are two strange anomalies that I need to discuss:


1. A new admin directory has appeared in the directory tree with what seems to be all of the same files as my renamed admin directory (however the new one is a few kb smaller).

2. when I change templates and then revert back to the original template some of the sideboxes I had previously deactivated appear again and I have to manually turn them off again.
