    red flag Wrong Username or Password

    I've checked just about every thread on here regarding this issue and I can't seem to find a solution that works.

    My site was hacked which left my customers unable to register in order to purchase from me. I set my site to maintenance mode and downloaded the current security patch. I changed the admin directory name and altered the configuration file.

    define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/catalog/newname/');
    define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', '/catalog/newname/');

    define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/home1/website/public_html/catalog/newname/');

    After uploading I tried to log in and received this message, "You entered the wrong username or password."

    I have not yet installed the security patch because I can't seem to get over this hurdle yet. Can anyone please help?? Thanks!

    If you attempted to change the directory name you should change it in both configuration files (include/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php). This shouldn't affect the username and password.

    Zencart isn't getting the user name and/or password it's expecting.

    Try this first:

    Thanks for replying.

    I tried creating a temporary admin account as the directions instructed in the link. Now after I enter the username and pass, the login page just refreshes.

    I checked the include/configure.php file but I don't see "admin" anywhere. What would I change? The information in the "define our database connection" section of that file is all correct. I'm not sure if that's what needs to be altered.

    Glamorousshoe misspoke - you don't have to edit includes/configure.php when you change the admin folder name.

    I think I had the same login problem, and it turned out I had installed the security patch incorrectly. Have you installed that yet?
