    Default Organizing download files

I know in the Zen Cart tutorials it states that the downloadable files need to be ftp'd into the download folder that comes with Zen Cart. Can I create three subfolders within the download folder and use those instead?

We are using 3 different formats for our downloads, for 3 different readers. I'm thinking the subfolders might be a good idea.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

No, you cannot use nested subfolders under the /download/ folder. All the subfolders will be ignored.

Okay, thank you for answering that. One more question, how would you set up the naming convention if every product had different zip files for 3 different formats?

What I mean is, you can purchase and download our eBooks in Adobe Digital Editions, MobiPocket, or Microsoft Reader formats. I've already set up the attribute information for these, but am wondering if I'd just zip these downloadable files up, name them something like my_book_title_pdf.zip or _otherfiletype.zip and then upload them all to the download folder?

    Thanks alot for your help.

Pick something that works for you.
Using some sort of consistent pattern will certainly make it easier for *you* to manage the files and distinguish one from another when you're sorting through your library of resources.
As far as Zen Cart is concerned, you just tell it the filename for each file you're making available as a download.
