Default Image Handler and the bmz_cache folder.

Is it safe to delete the files in the bmz_cache folder generated by the image handler? I currently have 30,000 files in there which causing overhead at the server.
If Yes; Has anyone figured a cron job that can be run to clean the bmz_cache folder?

I really need to know that so I can keep my website live till I find another hosting company.

Tools >> Image Handler >> Admin >> Clear Cache

    That doesn't clear the bmz_cache.

Then you can safely deleted the folders in there...... But remember, before they are done deleting there will be new ones right back with as many products as you have.... Same as using the button... file are created again so quickly.

I had to do this to lower my file count as well, although I'm still not below the maximum file number.

By the time everything was deleted using FileZilla FTP, it was all filled up again even though I uninstalled Image Handler. What I had to do was delete it from my hosts file manager, which was able to delete the entire folder and sub directories before they filled up again.

Ok, then the questing is. Is there a way to run a cron job to do that?
