Linking one product to two categories

Hello,

I have one product I would like to list in two separate product categories on my site. Is there any way I can link the product to both categories without having to post it twice?

Set the product up in one category.

Then:-

Go into your admin panel and to the category in which you have created the product that you wish to link. Go along the list of icons to the right of the product, look for a "C" in a blue background circle. Click on this to copy the product. Up comes a menu. Half way down you should see a box with the current category the product is in. THis is a drop down menu, so hit the down arrow and select another category you want it copied to. Then go down and select "link product" as the copy method. Then hit the large COPY button at the bottom and that's it.

I'm having trouble getting linked products to display on category and subcategory templates. I'm not sure why-- the products appear in admin as linked, the url mapping seems to work, but on my category pages, they just aren't showing up. I'm wondering if I'm missing something in the admin configuration? I haven't done anything special on category pages outside of theming. Is there a variable that needs to be inserted on category templates for linked products to display?

Note that if I COPY, instead of LINK, they turn up fine. But I really don't want to mess with multiple instances of the same products. Any ideas?
