    Default Only in SSL mode, get "Warning: The downloadable products directory does not exist"

    Hi all,

    I've read through the FAQ and the Manual numerous times, as well as doing a number of searches on the forum and on google, so my sincere apologies if I've missed a solution to this problem posted somewhere else...

    My issue is that my website is displaying the message:

    Warning: The downloadable products directory does not exist: /var/www/vhosts/horizonsimulation.co.uk/download/. Downloadable products will not work until this directory is valid.

    However it is only displaying this in the secure (https) section of the website - i.e. when a user clicks 'Log In'.

    The site was functioning well until yesterday when I installed a new SSL certificate and restarted the server through the Virtuozzo control panel (I'm using Plesk 8.3 and Zen 1.3.8 - see info provided below for full specs).

    Having spent a little time on the phone with my ISP yesterday, we managed to find that the Downloads folder (which was located above the httpdocs folder), could not be accessed due to the vhost.conf file having been reset during the server restart. Adding in the following resolved the issue for the non-secure section of the website:

    <Directory /var/www/vhosts/horizonsimulation.co.uk/httpdocs>
    php_admin_value open_basedir "/var/www/vhosts/horizonsimulation.co.uk/httpdocs:/var/www/vhosts/horizonsimulation.co.uk/download"
    </Directory>

    However the problem remains on when a user attempts to log into their account (I assume because the url is https, rather than http).

    Unfortunately I'm don't have a wealth of knowledge about such things and wondered if someone with more of an understanding could put me on the path to getting it resolved...?

    (If this topic has been covered elsewhere, please accept my apologies. I would be very grateful if someone might send me a link to the relevent information.)

    Thanks again.

    Kind regards,

    chanoisi

    if yours is the same, then have you made sure all your paths are correct in all your configure files?
