Hi,

Are these all the differences between ZC v1.3.8 and ZC v1.3.8a?

I currently run v1.3.8. and have made some customizations along with installing about 12 addons and everything seems to be working well!!

Is it possible just to upload the affected files into my current installation and be up to date? Or do I need to do a complete update?

Also, if I did do a complete update would the known bug fixes here apply to v1.3.8a or are they strictly v1.3.8 bugs and fixes?

What *I* would do is just a WinMerge comparison of the entire v1.3.8a against your current v1.3.8 site, and integrate the changes.
But, most people want to take shortcuts that I won't take.
The choice is up to you.

So, to paraphrase the answer: all the fixes posted there would still need to be applied to your 1.3.8/1.3.8a site.
Remember to also do the security patches.

Thanks DrByte for the quick reply. I will do the WinMerge comparison, as you suggested. Shortcuts are just not worth it.

Quick question about the security patches. According to the documentation, security patches, accumalate - meaning the current security patch would include all the fixes to security up and to that point, correct? I have installed the latest patch, so I should be up to date, correct?

No, that's not what it says.
Each patch stands on its own. You'll need to apply them all separately.

Quick question about using the WinMerge route.

I simply just compare the files and then make any necessary code changes (copy and paste hopefully) and then just upload the files, right?

I do not need to run zc_install, right?

Moving from v1.3.8 to v1.3.8a does not require any database changes, so doesn't use zc_install.
