    Default Paypal IPN Not Showing Orders in Store

    Hi everyone,

    I'm looking for a little bit of assistance. I have Zencart configured with the Paypal IPN module. I've followed the Paypal tutorial on the wiki to a T and it does not seem to work correctly. I am using Zencart v1.3.8. I have created a test product for 1 cent. When I checkout with it the amount gets posted to Paypal properly and I can pay for it with no issues. I get transferred back to the confirmation page in Zencart. There is no order number displayed, nor if I check the Admin area is there any sign of the order. I've searched the forums and read multiple FAQs, but nothing seems to directly related to my issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Turn on debugging in admin > modules > payment > your PP module > and log and email results to you. Post back with information as to what is/is not being logged.

    Hey Kobra,

    I've turned on debugging, but log files are not being generated. Which is kind of odd. Everything seems to work fine except for the order information being transferred into Zencart and an order confirmation being.

    Where are you looking for these?

    Try /public_html/includes/modules/payment/paypal/logs

    Just adding a bit more to the above post.

    I am using ZC 1.3.8a
    Only mod Blank sidebox
    Paypal setup installed IPN and Express Checkout
    Selling only downloadable zipped files

    Have gone through all the doco I can find on how to setup Paypal Express.
    Have run the IPNCheck and that returned all ok
    Have run the ipn_main_handler.php file from the browser and got a result "nothing to process Return to homepage".
    Have removed Paypal and reinstalled it
    Created new Paypal API Details and resetup ZC with these details

    Reading the doc it shouldn't be this hard but at the moment when I use the Paypal Express Button at Step 2 of 3 in the Checkout process. I get to either enter Credit card details in Paypal or log into to pay for the purchase. Then Paypal lets me confirm the Credit card details, I click "continue" and I am returned to Step 3 of 3 in the ZC checkout process.

    Nothing in Admin >> Customer >> Orders,
    No emails

    I don't know what to do next

    Some questions I have.
    1. What is the required details that gets passed from ZC to Paypal? I haved modified the ZC Customer Account creation form to just be a fe basic details, could this impact the Paypal process?

    2. Once a payment and order is successful what page should I see?

    Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

    We are currently having paypal IPN problems too and DrByte kindly pointed out earlier today that paypal itself is experiencing "issues", so it's likely the problem is on their side.

    Schoolboy - thanks for the tip.

    Is there any way I can find out what the issues are and if they could impact my setup.?

    In the meantime I am still looking for other possible causes. So I have removed all the products and Payment modules and started again.

    Looking through some more threads came across on that discussed testing the order process using echeck to see if the process worked.

    I setup a product and set echeck to default to processing. This all worked well, order processed and I was able to download the product.

    Setup Paypal modules again with debug log and email options on.
    Paypal process failed again. Went through the email messages and did see this in one of the emails...

    Still trying to understnd all that goes behind the scenes, so my question is

    Looking at that info, it seems to indicate that the "free_shipping_price" has a value, yet all the way through setting up of the product, it has been set to free shipping, and I know that shipping data can affect how Paypal works. Am I misunderstanding and just grabing at straws to try and find an answer to way Paypal is not working for me?

    I have the same problem to. I followed all the forum on the net I gusss. I made an ipncheck test and communications seems to be ok. but my zencart 1.3.8 does not register some orders.

    I also receive a PayPal Express payment with no order loged in Zen Cart. The serve log shows a line without a checkout sucess.
