Uploading images does the name matter

OK atm i am just uploading images and their title has nothing to do with the product or the image.

Should i be naming them to something related to the product its showing. Will this help seo and stuff like that. Or does it make no diffrence.

If for products, you should be using the upload function in the product creation area for proper linkage to your product....
name not important but should follow good pratice
no spaces, special characters, all lowercase, etc
