copy quantity discounts

(First, yes, I know about swguy's quantity discounts and think it is great. I just found myself in a position where I needed to copy lots of quantity discounts that used the default quantity discount system so did this. Actually, it works great in addition to swguy's mod which creates even more functionality. )

Here's a discount copier. Sceenshot is attached.

It works with the Quantity discounts that are used in the default Zen Cart and allows you to copy a discount to a product, a category, or the whole shop. Or delete a discount.

All the instructions are in the .zip file.

It's work in progress, so as ever with things that meddle with the database, BACK UP THE DATABASE first. But I haven't found any problems so far on a few Zen Cart installations. If you do then let me know please.

Choices are good! Once you think it's rock solid, consider submitting it to the Free Software Add Ons so people will be able to find it easily.

This was a very nice, simple way to do discounts... I'm very impressed. I backed up my database, installed it, and had applied all of the discounts that I wanted in a matter of 15 minutes or less.

I haven't encountered any problems yet. The only thing that seems a little odd is this:

I started off with about 300 products in my cart with no discounts. I initially edited one product (#29) to use as the copy source.

When I opened the discount copier, the graphical representation showed that there was one product that had a discount... but it was box 11. In the drop down box, the product still appeared with the correct label as #29.

In practical terms, it wasn't a problem (except perhaps that I couldn't use the diagram as a reference for which product # to choose as a source). Just thought it was worth mentioning.

I do have a question. Will this work with categories that have subcategories? For example:

Frames
-LP Frames
-CD Frames

It applied to categories but it did not apply to subcategories. This is OK. I just needed to change out my categories a little. Well worth it, considering all the time I saved!

I do want to ask if you have tried to make the discounts mix n match for a category? Say a customer wants 6 Black LP Frames, 6 Silver and 6 Gold. He would get the 18 pc price.
