Default Commenting Out Php Code to define pages

I am interested in changing the look of some of the pages and am interested in knowing what the effect of commenting out php echos I don't require are.

Can anyone tell me what this causes or if there is an error log that may be viewed after experimenting to see what occured "under the covers" so to speak?

    Thanks,

    Jay

The effect depends entirely on what the echos do. In general, you will just not get a certain bit of output displayed; but there could be an opening or closing HTML tag as part of an echo, which would cause problems.

There is no default error log, but there is a debugging utility available from Free Addons that will put error logs in your Zen Cart /cache/ folder.
