How to handle drop shipping based on location of vendor & customer?

Sorry for the long title, just don't know how to word this question. I've searched the forum and can't find what I'm looking for.

My client has a web-based business and we're trying to figure out how to handle shipping, as all of her merchandise will be drop shipped from different suppliers.

1. Since shipping charges need to be based on where the customer lives in relation to where the supplier is located, I have no idea how to set this up.

2. The customer may also place an order for several items coming from multiple suppliers.

ANY CLUE AS TO HOW I CAN SET THE SHIPPING UP FOR A SITUATION LIKE THIS?

I think she's okay with just using UPS for shipping. Thanks.

Update: I did end up purchasing Ceon Advanced Shipping and they and their module are fantastic! I had questions before my purchase and they responded right away. I had questions during my setup (I was having some problems and didn't have some things set up correctly) and they were extremely thorough in reading my questions, viewing my attachments and sending their responses.

Their support is stellar, even responding on a Friday night and a Sunday to my questions. I highly recommend their Module for people who run into the drop ship dilemma!

Ceon's shipping module is comprehensive... It is the only one-size-fits-all shipping module and (in my very humble opinion) worth every penny!
