How do I change banner images when I switch languages?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Zen Cart and testing to see if I can use it for a multilingual site. I'm using v1.3.8a on a Linux server. Please see www.fashionafrique.com.

I've used a template that uses mainly banners on the home page and I want the images of those banners to change to different images showing French text when a user selects the French language.

How can I accomplish this?

I've been told Zen Cart doesn't support this.

Can anyone suggest a way around this involving modifying the php files? Which one(s) should I modify?
