Default Adding patches to V138a ?

In V138a, can I change admin name and add security patches after unzipping on my PC before uploading and installing on a new site, or does it need to installed first? By the way...thanks for having me.

You can add the patches before you install ... providing you do not goober anything up ...

Thanks Ajeh. What about the admin name change, do they need to be left at default state to install ?

Do the install with /admin then change it and the configure.php file that was created during the install in:
    /admin/includes/configure.php

    Hi

Can someone please tell me if I need this security patch for the latest version 1.3.8a which I downloaded on the 15/10/09 and installed on my server?
The admin panel tells me I have the latest version.

    Thanks

Our Zen Cart v1.3.8 download does need the Security Patches listed at:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131115

Check and review that your install has all of the Patches and Updates applied correctly ...
