Duplicate Product links on home page after new install and import database

hey all, been awhile...

I have a new install with just the cold steel template added. I have a duplicate Product Id links at bottom of frontpage, and a side box. I have checked the db, which is from a back up off a different server, and it shows no duplicate products.

I have also looked in Admin\categories\products and do not find any duplicates.

any clues where to look?

figured it out, it was that the images were not uploaded, the images were the other link to product

Thanks for the update that what appeared to be duplicate products were actually the Alt tags showing in the browser, most likely FireFox, for Products that did not have images ...
