Hi, I can not figure out how to add multiple product images? Thank you.
Have you gone through the FAQ? http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/faq.ph...faq_add_images
Yes, I saw that but it doesn't make sense when I don't load images via a categories.php file, I upload them in the UI. I also am not using the images/dvd directlry and therefore do not know where to put the additional images.
Quote:
You load via the categories.php an image file called:
a_bugs_life.gif and put it in the /images/dvd directory via the drop down
Now you FTP additional images to /images/dvd
OSC had a sidebar next to where you upload the first image for additional images. Why isn't that available in Zencart? I thought maybe I just had to turn it on somewhere.
When uploading the first image ... next to the Browse button is ...
Upload to directory: (available images directories)
Main Directory is /images
The others are the directories under /images
If you use the Main Directory and are loading the file: fred.jpg
You will find it in:
/images/fred.jpg
The Medium image then goes to:
/images/medium/fred_MED.jpg
The Large image then goes to:
/images/large/fred_LRG.jpg
If you have additional images they would be:
/images/fred_01.jpg
/images/fred_02.jpg
/images/fred_03.jpg
The additional large images would go to:
/images/large/fred_01_LRG.jpg
/images/large/fred_02_LRG.jpg
/images/large/fred_03_LRG.jpg
Now, if you want a new /images directory for a given Product or what have you you could create:
/images/something
And set the permissions on /something to 777
If you use the something directory and are loading the file: fred.jpg
You will find it in:
/images/something/fred.jpg
The Medium image then goes to:
/images/medium/something/fred_MED.jpg
The Large image then goes to:
/images/large/something/fred_LRG.jpg
If you have additional images they would be:
/images/something/fred_01.jpg
/images/something/fred_02.jpg
/images/something/fred_03.jpg
The additional large images would go to:
/images/large/something/fred_01_LRG.jpg
/images/large/something/fred_02_LRG.jpg
/images/large/something/fred_03_LRG.jpg

Thank you, an answer that makes sense!
Actually it is the same as what Kim posted earlier ...
The difference is ... I broke out both the /images and /images/something so you could see it very clearly and not be confused by the /images vs /images/dvd ...
New words ... new understanding ...
Glad this was able to help you ...

Hey i have the same problem i want to add multiple images to a product
i created a folder under images callled ps3
images/ps3
I uploaded 3 pics
images/ps3/ps3_.jpg
images/ps3/ps3_1.jpg
images/ps3/ps3_2.jpg
Only the ps3_.jpg image appears on the site because this was selected as the main upload image the rest dont appear.
Any ideas????
Please help
Ok i even created images in the large and medium folder like
large/ps3_LGE.jpg
large/ps3_1_LGE.jpg
and the medium was done teh same way.
I still cannot display multiple images what am i doing wrong????
plz help
If "ps3_.jpg" is your main image filename, then the following would work:
/images/ps3/ps3_.jpg
/images/ps3/ps3__1.jpg
/images/ps3/ps3__2.jpg
/images/large/ps3/ps3_LRG.jpg
/images/large/ps3/ps3__1_LRG.jpg
Notice the double-underscores in various places (since your base image already contains one underscore, in order to fit the pattern the additional underscore must be added), as well as the use of "LRG" instead of "LGE".
