Getting blocked when logging in as admin and customer

Just curious to ask other zen cart admins,

When I login as admin when im working on the site, when I go to do something logged in as a TEST Customer, I end up killing my internet and become banned from my site IP Address for 60minutes.

Is this a zencart security? or a firewall? im sure there is some explanation and always just waited out the ban time, but maybe there is a suggestion to speed the wait time or remove it completely?

That is not built into Zen Cart to cause this issue ...

I have not seen anything like that posted before, so I am not sure where to send you on this one ...

Same thing is happening to me-I was logged in as a customer and as admin at the same time-I cant get the site to load now

If your web host is blocking you from the server, the first question your need answered is why? And the answer to that needs to cone from your web host.

Do either you of have anything custom going on in the way of addons?

i have come across this type of problem a few months ago, while it was with a different cart system the same thing happened..

he would get banned from the server his website was hosted on when he was logged into the site as a customer in one browser tab and be logged in to his carts admin in a different tab.

Turned out to be the server's security systems banning his IP address because it was making too many calls to the server. He had this resolved by changing the firewall rules from 200 http requests per minute to 300 http requests per minute.

I dont know if that is what is causing your problem tho... but sounded similar enough for me to post here... good luck

And that was exactly what was happening with me Shane-my server had blocked my IP address
