    css problem CSS not being read from a shared SSL

    Ok... here is my problem. I have never had this issue before.

    I am building a website for someone. It is a store, and she has a shared SSL that I have to use. the address is:

    https://caninecoutureclosets.sslpowered.com.

    Now since this is the account she built it under, i have to do the zencart site ssl like this:

    https://caninecoutureclosets.sslpowe...ffee.com/cafe/

    /cafe is the store.

    the problem is that if you access it like this;
    http://www.sockmonkeycoffee.com/cafe/ , It reads the CSS no problem but the way i have to do it (link above), it does not see the CSS.

    Anyone have any idea what i need to do to get it to read the CSS?

    I have tried to get her to get a dedicated ssl so that it is; https://www.sockmonkeycoffee.com/cafe, but she is not open to that idea.

    Thanks for any help in advance!

    Who is the host?

    I have an almost identical problem. My host has given me the shared SSL URL as https://iota.securesslhost.net/~blackwo/ but this isn't reading the CSS.

    Similarly, if i add the "S" to the protocaol HTTP all i get is the secure host URL appearing on the page. https://blackwolf-graphics.co.uk

    FWIW, I had the same problem on a 1and1-hosted site using shared SSL. Any file with a relative url (like the CSS files or any images they might use) were not being displayed on the SSL pages.

    After two days of head-bashing, I gave in and bought a dedicated SSL certificate.

    If you don't use any images within your CSS, the css/javascript loader (blog. rubikintegration. com/2009/08/08/zencart-css-javascript-loader-released/) works magic!
