Help! I upgraded Server and now my admin gives me a 500 Error page

I am in need of some quick advice. I had upgraded my server, now I cannot access the Admin Settings in the backside of store, I can access other pages, just not this one. I placed a dummy order and was wondering why I did not receive a email confirmation...I tried to access the Admin Settings under Tools and I receive a 500 Error page.

Can anyone give me some advice other than contacting my hosting company...they are next to contact after I post this.

Probably there is something wrong in the configuration.php files. Have you updated them after your upgrade, whatever it means?

Thanks for your reply... "Upgrade" - I changed my account that required a new ip address and moved all files to that ip address..thus...upgraded. When I posted last night, I was very tired. You are correct...the folder's permission wasn't set properly. All is ok now.
