Does Anyone Know What Can Go Wrong When Installing Templates?

I scrapped the Sunflower Template and decided to go with another flower template to see if that would work. I am getting the same problem with the template not showing up in the admin section.

In my admin my only choice is classic green, but my site is now showing in blue. I never changed anything except turning off some of the sideboxes and banners.

The headings in Classic have a blue background color behind the green tile_back.gif, so you have somehow lost the image file or the path to it.
The screenshots are too small to see anything useful. What is the exact filepath from /includes/ to your new template_info.php, and what does that file say about the template?

I found the file that said template_info.php.

The whole path I believe is: /oni_html/shop/includes/templates/orange/common/css/images


I opened the text file and this is what it states:

The template_info.php file should be directly in /includes/templates/orange/; if it is anywhere else, the template will not be able to be selected.
All functional templates generally have their files organized in the correct folders already, so you must have moved something incorrectly when uploading the template.

If you give precise details about what you did, we may be able to tell what went wrong. "I can't get it to work" doesn't help us to help you. A link to see your site may be helpful too.

I'm having some trouble installing a free template that I downloaded. I finally managed to upload via ftp protocol the files in the template file under /includes/templates/bookshelf on my public html server...then I was instructed to go in tools-template selection-edit and then select the new template from the drop down menu. Nothing's there?!

You know what, that was what was missing...the templae_info.php file! Once that's uploaded, then it all was there. Awesome!
