I am using the Book Product Type extension to Zen Cart which uses the manufacturers tables for publishers.
However, the max length of manufacturers_name in the the table zen_manufacturers is set to 32 which is too small fro some of my publishers. Is there any reason why I shouldn't modify this database table to increase the size of this field?

Thanks for the reassurance. I have made the change to the database table using phpMyAdmin and it seems to be working OK.
