Can I display "Sold Out" button AND "Add to Cart" button on product information page?

I did some searching and found threads about changing the image of the sold out button to whatever the user wants but is there a way to display the image AND display the "add to cart" image (and the functionality) both on the product page?

That's not what my post was asking, I only wish to know how I can display both. I expect it's one line of code somewhere but I'm new to this and not experienced enough to actually code my way unsupervised.

Do you want BOTH displayed for the same product??

If not, a sold out item will display sold out and an instock item will display the add to cart automatically
