Upgraded to PHP5 and MySQL 5 - unable to login

Hi

I have been using version 1.2.2 zencart for several years on Mac OS X, two days back I upgraded the operating system which has upgraded PHP to php5 and mysql to mysql 5.

Since then I am unable to login to the admin section.

Also when you click the buy button the shopping cart is empty.

Zen cart is speaking to mysql, I can see in mysql logs the db queries being run, the admin table is not corrupt I can do a select * and all records are intact.

When I try to login nothing happens it just refreshes to the same page with a session id attached to the url.

I assume this is some session problem with php 5 but not sure how to fix, the configure.php was not modified it still points to db for session management
