Multi User, Multi Store on same domain

Hi, I'm planning to make a site like etsy.com
I wonder whether Zencart is capable of making a site that :

- allow visitors to register as users
- allow users to create their own stores (and they will be given either a subdomain (userstore.mysite.com) or a directory (mysite.com/userstore)

Zen Cart isn't designed to work that way. There is a multisite module in the free software add on section that you can take a look at, but I'm not sure it does what you want.
