Help with Rotating Banners to highlight products

Hello everyone, I am new here, and have been setting up my new store but had some questions regarding banners that I needed guidance with, so I am hoping I can get some help.

I am currently using version 1.3.8 and the URL is: www.airsoftoutfitter.com

Basically, I am wanting to create a Flash or JQuery Banner that rotates through different products that I choose to highlight. I am aware that I need to create the banners, but my question is: Do I need to do any special Coding in the php files, or is there a plugin that I am unaware of.

The website that I want to mimic as far as banners go are: Airsoftgi.com and/or JAG Precision.com if anyone has feedback or suggestions I would appreciate your help. Additionally, I would like the individual frames link to their respective highlighted product.
