Admin area mysql menu does not translate

I installed a Spanish language pack for the admin area, but it does not translate the admin fully.

The first extensible menu with the store configuration displays in English. I read this is because the sentences are saved in Mysql rather than in the language .php file

In what table are these sentences so that I can update them with the correct Spanish sentences?

That's in the "configuration" table.

BUT BEWARE: translating that information is dangerous, because if you change anything other than the configuration_title text, you run the risk of breaking all the configuration settings.

Is there any other safer way to change them?

I'll be using phpmyadmin

I understand it is dangerous, however, absolutely necessary as the people administering the store do not know any English.
