help question Admin Area - Make the "Configuration" tab invisible?

In the admin area I would like to make invisible the "Configuration" tab, which is in English and can only be changed by altering the MySql database.

I don't know what line in the core files I should alter in order to achieve this.

I was thinking of using an inline style="display:none;" in the ul but I don't know where to place it.

    I need your help!

If you just make it invisible, this wouldn't actually achieve anything, as you can still search for the properties using the Developers Toolkit, and this in turn would allow your admin to alter the values.

What you want to do is to install the "Admin Profiles" module, which is available through the Add-Ons link. It only takes a couple of minutes to install, but then locks users out of certain sections of the admin.

Is this addon available in Spanish?

I'm not worried about the values being altered. It is just a matter of not having a menu tab in a language the administrator does not understand.

If the addon is not available in Spanish, I run into the exact same problem.

    What can I do?

If the module is not available in spanish, just install the english on, and create your own Spanish translation. It's only a single file that needs to be translated, and to be honest that is easier than fiddling around with hiding configuration tabs.

If you think you know enough about PHP to try and tackle hiding a menu, then converting a language file from English into Spanish will be easy!
