Image Handler 2: autosize generated image issues

Hi all,

How to set IH2 so that the sizes of auto-generated images match those in Admin/Configuration/Images, rather than maintan its proportion?

When IH2 auto-sizes images, the size of images generated do NOT match those specified in Admin/Configuration/Images. Whereas, the size of those images maintain its proportion. For example:

Below are settings in Admin/Configuration/Images:

Small Image Width 100
Small Image Height 80
Product Info - Image Width 240
Product Info - Image Height 241
IH large image maximum width 550
IH large image maximum height 450

Below are the sizes of auto-sized images when an image of 640x480 is supplied:

100x75
240x180
640x480

I think it is possible to specify the width and height in IH2 php code. Does anyone know which php file to edit?

I don't use IH2 so have no answer there... but do you really want the thumbnails to be distorted instead of keeping their proportions? Why?

There is an admin setting Configuration > Images > Image - Use Proportional Images on Products and Categories. Does that affect the display in IH2?

Thank you for your help.

I tried that it not only does NOT work, but the zoom small images function also lost, which should not happen. When I changed it back, the function turned back. Still, the issue remains.

The reason is that, I want all small image the same size regardless the size of the large image. Now, the height of small images depends on the height of the large image.

If you want all small images the same width AND height, you must make all large images the same proportions (not necessarily the same size), or else have some of the small images distorted.

If height is your real concern, try specifying just that in your small image settings, leaving width as blank. In stock ZC, this will allow the width to float so the images stay in proportion and at the same height. I don't know how IH2 will handle this, though.

Thank you for your advice.

Both width and height of small images are required. The last option is that I prepare s/m/l size for every image using other image programme. However, I still prefer to coding it if I knew how.
