looking for help and tips for a new zen project

I'm looking for a fresh and clean start for a new zen project... And I'd appreciate a little help here

1. I'd need a simple template framework. Just bare-bones theme skeleton without any images or graphics (or at least even good css). Recommendations?

2. What would be the most common addons you'd recommend?

3. Are there any good admin templates which would be a bit more modern than the regular?
