    Default Can attributes do this?

Hello, I am now venturing into learning how attributes work. Yes, I did read through Ajeh instructions but I am still a little confused.

I plan on selling vintage clothing and each piece is different in just about every detail.

I have attached a picture of what I aspire to do. Details & Measurements I would like to have on each item. But I am not sure which way is the right path.

My question is...can attributes do this or do I approach it another way?

    Thanks

Attributes are for optional charachteristics for a product

As in a "T" Shirt can be ordered in red, gree, blue and in s, m, l, xl

As your items are the way they are with out options you do not need attributes - - just a description of what the item is

Hi Kobra, thanks....I kinda figured that...BUT when I looked at that site....I am not sure how they highlighted every other sentence. PLUS, it looks to me like some of the information is repetitive...that's why I thought it may have been attributes.....

So, there is no short cut....just have to write a long description for each item....ah....back to the drawing board......

This might be of some use with the repetitive stuff:

Or if you're using an editor like frontpage you can keep a template saved, and just add in the details and delete whatever details are irrellevant.

That could make it easy enough to do.

    Best of luck!

Do you know if anyone has tried this?

If possible, I would like to see an example.

    epson et al

Other than trying to use Template Monster, FrontPage is probably the next worst thing to use to edit anything in Zen Cart.

Instead of always leaving negative remarks about your feelings of other templates or software, why donít you trying being nice. You always come across as bitter or jealous when leaving negative comments; which most of time your comments are in left field.

This thread is NOT about Monster Templates.

Your work hardly compares to Monster Templates or Microsoft.

Tone aside, Frontpage or MS Word *are* bad to use for Zen Cart file editing, as they can and generally do leave sloppy/unnecessary code strewn around, and in some cases proprietary code that can only be used by other MS products.
They can break Zen Cart files.
