Hi,
I have some products disabled from the store, but they still appear on the bestsellers list.
Also, the new products on the homepage are not always once that I recently updated. Do you know of any settings to sort out these matters?

I am not sure why you would be able to see the Products with products_status = 0 in the Best Sellers list ...
You might check what happens if you switch to the Classic Template and see if it works properly ... if so, then this is something with your template ...

Thanks for your help.
I have gone through the bug fixes and security patches. Also tried with the different templates including in the classic template. But it still shows disabled products.
Will let you know if I manage to figure out what I was doing wrong
Could you peek in your best_sellers.php sidebox and make sure that both SELECT statements include the products_status = '1' in the WHERE clause ...

I have checked the code as well, and the "WHERE" clauses to make sure product_status='1' check is done.
After spending time doing the tedious job of checking individual records in the database, I found something weird. Even though some products appear as disabled in the admin panel, their product status in the database appears as '1'.
It does not make sense why that might have happened.
Just to check, I took a product which has status '1' in the database (and also NOT disabled in admin panel), then disabled it via admin panel. This time the product status in the database changed to '0'
So it is all looking weird at the moment
Think I found the solution. My client I believe has deleted a category, but not deleted the products under that. So there are items in the products table that don't have any referencing in the products to categories table.
Therefore even if all categories in the admin panel are disabled, those products still appear on the site, because they don't get disabled.
I am working on sorting it out now. Thanks for all your help :)
That is always a fun one to clean up from ... good luck ...
