move sold out items to end of category listing

I need to move sold out items to the end of the category product listing page

Give them all sort orders of 999

You could customize the SELECT statement to use the products_quantity as part of the WHERE statement ...

Peek in the:
/includes/index_filters/default_filter.php

and test this on the CASE statement for the Product Name:

        case 'PRODUCT_LIST_NAME':
          $listing_sql .= " order by p.products_quantity DESC, pd.products_name " . ($sort_order == 'd' ? 'desc' : '');
          break;

When sorting by name, is this the affect that you are wanting?

That didn't seem to work. I had something like that working before but it seems to have turned itself off.
Is there something in the admin panel that could be preventing it from working?
