    Default Product price manager not working

    When I enter a sale price in price manager, it does nothing, I set the expiry date to 30 April, and the new price, press update, nothing.

    When I go into "catalogue specials" it shows the item, "available none" even though I have product, and shows an expiry date of 30/11/2036, I don't really want it to be on sale that long anyway.

    Shows status as disabled, nothing I can do enables it.

    Is "product price manager" standard, or was this an add on that I installed?

    has "featured product" and "add blank discounts" within it

    Product Price Manager is part of the stock Zencart.

    Is this the only part of admin that isn't working?

    Have you installed the admin security patch recently?

    So far seems to be only part not working, didn't have HTMLAREA working, but Kobra helped me with that, and it was my error.

    security patch??, no, are you asking because I need to or because it may have caused problem??

    I have also tried this in my test store, same result, it reverts to 2036 (year) with same start date and end date, and the following error message
    ID# Products Model Products Price/Special/Sale Available Expires Status Action
    4 Rock - fake, black $10.00 11/30/2036 11/30/2036

    and the following error message
    NOTE: Special Product Info is currently disabled, expired or not yet active

    Could this problem be caused by adjusting the dates to DMY?, if any of that is wrong, could that have screwed this up?

    It would be great if you could choose the date setting in admin, drop down, select the format you want, and it adjusts all the dates globally, has no one thought of this?

    Switch it back ... that is probably the source of your problem ...

    At this time there would be a lot of logic to rewrite to change things in the Admin ...

    I will try, problem is, I need DMY, have had nothing but headaches with it, it works everywhere except the most important place, Customer log in, and my store is Australian. I will try that, and see where I went wrong if it works.

    This is weird, I found english.php in an older back up on my hard drive, and FTP'd it to my test store, and voala it works now, did the same for main store, no change??????

    wouldn't have minded it the other way round.

    QUESTION, If I re upload all the files, and try to correct whatever is causing this, is that going to screw up everything, and all the modules I added since?

    If you overwrite files that have customizations to them then yes ... you will mess things up ...

    I would get something like Beyond Compare from scootersoftware.com and check a clean copy of Zen Cart to what is on the server and then check what you think is working on your test store with what is on your live store ...

    NOTE: be sure to make plenty of backups ...
