    Default Not recieving payment for Downloaded products

    Wasn't sure where to ask this so I will put it here.

    I am using the latest version of zen cart, paypal express checkout module. no other add ons other than analytics

    I went through sandbox but did not notice this.

    Next
    I tested my shop with my personal paypal account.

    Buying a actual item works fine. When a download product is purchase everything seems to work, and the product is available for download right away, as it should be, but the payment is not received in my business account and is never charged to my personal account. I receive the order notifications, but no money. And the product can be downloaded as if it was paid for.

    I noticed in Orders that next to the download product purchase it has the red mark for "Billing and Shipping does not match " and it says "CC, free" and the actual items purchased that worked correctly have "paypalwpp, usps". Both were purchased the same way, with the same account.

    Why do the download products use credit card and not paypal?

    I purchased a download product and a real product and did not receive payment. in orders it says "cc, usps"


    I currently have 2 downloadable products and they both act the same.

    I looked and searched every where, I can not figure it out.


    Any bit of information to help me fix this is much appreciated.

    ... because you have the CC module installed but set to enabled=false, and there is a known glitch with having things configured that way.
    If you're NOT using the CC module, click Remove to prevent it from being mis-used.

    Further, the reason why the downloads happened "anyway" is because you also apparently have the CC module's order-status-setting set to Processing, which allows the download even though you've not verified/processed payment yet. Again, since you're not really using the module, click Remove.

    There is an easier way if you know how to code it.
    For all orders having purchasable downloads create a new table in your database called pick_ups. Use order number and list all downloads for that order. When you generate the sale add the order number to returnToSite upon completion feature.
    When sale is final the visitor returns to a pickup window to download what was purchased. If they cancel send to an order delete page so the dowload list will be removed from the database.

    If they go to another site and choose not to return to yours, you need the server to clean all unclaimed orders from the database within 24hr.

    NOTE: if you have both a Billing and Shipping address on a Download Only order ... then you do not have your downloads setup correctly as the checkout_shipping page is skipped when there are Downloads Only in the Order ...

    On the Order you will see the Billing Address and Customer Address but not the Shipping Address ... that will be blank ...

    I wondered why a few had yellow dots next to their name, even though they were disabled. Since i am only using paypal express checkout I removed all the ones with yellow dots. And now everything works correctly.
