I want to begin administering zen cart. Set my taxes, write an about us, put some product up. But I can't manage to create a login. I went to htaccess in my hosts control panel and set something called Authorization Realm Name. Has that got something to do with renaming admin for better security? I would love to follow the directions to do that, but navigating store/admin/includes I can't find configure.php, but something similar, dist-configure.php is there. Any help would be appreciated. Here's another one. What's the difference between a post and a thread? Really.

Sounds like you haven't actually installed Zencart yet.

You created a thread with your orginal post, and kobra and I have added posts to that thread.

How did those folder get there?

Did you download the ZenCart distribution or use one of the host auto installs or??

I downloaded zen cart to my computer and used an ftp application to upload it to my webhost. It looks pretty much the same as what is uploaded to another fully functioning site a friend put up for me, except... when I navigate to store/admin/includes there isn't a configure.php document (file), which is what I think I am looking for to rename my admin for security reasons. Then hopefully I can set a password and begin administering/configuring my store using a web browser I hope..

You first need to install it....
Try navigating to

http ://your_domain/store/zc_install

BUT first you need to create a Database and know the details for it to be able to proceed with the install
