I finally had time to write the code so that there are now 6 middle box on the main page. If you can tell me how to make a contribution for this so it can be added to yours I will do so, I probably will have to do the zip, etc for it on Monday or Wed.

    Thank you

IMO the way to merge your code with mine is to have one contribution with two install options. Is your code available for testing/viewing??

Yes, we can test it and I would love you help in doing so. I have it working on my testing server, but uploaded it to GoDaddy and it does not show however it shows on my testing server which is my computer (Windows 7 Ultimate, XAMpp> I changed the css code which should make it visible.

    Thank you

    Hi DivaVocals,

I finally got round wantig to add your MOD to our live shop.

When I first tested your MOD it was on a freshly installed bare bones cart.

Now I;m testing it on a Mirror of my live site and it't not loading at all.

I have checked and re checked the naming of all the folders and can't find anything I have not done.

I didn't need overwrite the tpl_index_default.php as I didn't have one yet so just placed in correct folder.

I can view the page sin the define editor and edit and save.. but they do not show on the front page?

I wondering if I could have turned off a setting in the admin? If so what could that be?

I do have a few mods installed but none that I can think of that would stop this one from working.
    That wasn't the plan!

One of the things I found out was that I have to place the files that are in whatever templates you are using like the css file and tpl_index_default also have to go into the css directory of the template_default and the same for the tpl_index_default

I did not originally write this code for the first three boxes, and made changes to everything for 3 more boxes. So you get 6 in all.

    DivaVocals and LadyDee,

Thanks for this. This will make styling pages so much easier.
Now my goal is to integrate your centerboxes onto other define pages.

    Thanks,
    Doug

    Hi Ladydee,

I just tried copying all the relevant files into into the custom default folders as well as classic or any other!

    still no luck.

My main page is currently active. It does load flash and also has addthis social booking marking mod installed.

I renamed my current flash/social bookmarking main page and used the default main page to see if that was interfering but the mod still didn't load.

I double checked and I did in fact in my custom folder have a tpl_index_default file. I merged the two together.

    Any more ideas?

OK.. I got the layout Boxes working.

However, there is an issue that will need to be resolved!

    When I had the:

Configuration > Layout Settings >Main Page - Opens with Category

ON in the admin the center boxes wouldn't work.

When I turned this feature off they appear!

The Opens with Categpry means that there are text links of each category listed just below main page area on the front page.

I had these on with button images I had created. ie Buttons with brands logos on them.

Unfortunately, I don't know understand php to resolve!

but somehow the CenterBox MOD overrides the ability to have both?

My initial though tis that your stylesheet duplicates styles that apply to both sets of middleboxes, and those duplicate styles should be removed.. However, I'd still like to test this myself.. I'll PM you my e-mail address.. I think that it does need to be merged in as a second install option.

I have tested this and have replicate this behavior.. However, I don't know what causes this.. I'm stumped at the moment..
