    Default After Moving Site, My Products are not showing.

    I Have just moved my store to a new hosting service, and changed the domain name. I followed the instructions in the tutorial, I backed up the database, and downloaded all the files. Installed a new copy on new server, uploaded database and files. The Files show up just fine ( ie the colors, titles, etc) But the database info ( ie products and categories etc) are not showing up on the site. But are in phpmyadmin. I have uses the fix_cache_key.php, it said no changes necessary.

    Any ideas??

    Try opening up the 2 x configure.php files in your updated store on your host and check whether the settings in the following lines of code point to your updated database or to an older database.

    You can verify this by going to your phpMyAdmin and looking at the name of the database that contains your actual products as well.

    Thank you!!! Now all my products are there!! But I am having trouble with the admin. I couldn't log in at first, then realized that I had to use my old admin username and password, not the one I set up on the new install. One logged in, It won't let me save anything.

    This is an amendment to my last post. I can make changes to the products and categories, but not any of the configurations.

    Seems like you have an improperly patched store causing the problem.
